From script to screen, telling stories that empower.

At A2K Media we’re not just about integrity of product, but also integrity of process.

We strive to ensure accessible and culturally-safe environments for Disabled creatives to tell their stories. We're experienced at centering Disabled voices and we’ve always cultivated meaningful connections between mainstream and CaLD communities.

We love to create exciting media products that tell great stories.

We think storytelling can entertain, engage and evolve the attitudes of the mainstream. That's why we’re focused on bringing authentic representations of disability to our screens.

We also love to use humour where we can. After all it is the ultimate universal connector.

It's fair to say that we laugh the hardest at things that we care the most about. And here's another funny thing: comedy gives us the chance to reflect and change our behaviour. But all that aside, sharing a joke makes us feel good. It brings us together and it creates an unspoken connection.

AMAR

AMAR is a short film that follows the story of a 28-year-old Muslim woman with Down syndrome. Amar is planning the wedding of her dreams. Her family struggle amidst unwanted community prejudice and discrimination.

The film highlights ways in which society isolates and excludes disabled people. At the heart of the story are themes of respect and inclusion, embracing the very idea that we all have value.

Tales From The Crips

'Tales From The Crips' isn’t a funny show about disability. It is simply a funny show. It is inclusive and relatable. Audiences will laugh with us and laugh at themselves. We'll reflect society in all its irrational, apprehensive, blissfully ignorant glory. It is the Australian sketch show for every Australian.

The Wheelhouse

Anarchy, conspiracy, drugs, racism, ableism, disability sex whores, Anti-Vax Karens, cover-up culture, is Peter Dutton an actual potato? Does booze make you more or less of a *unt? Whatever the topic, it’s in our wheelhouse. The Wheelhouse: It’s current affairs in high-speed chairs.
